The ORIGAMI dripper needs no introduction. But this hits different.
Twenty evenly spaced ribs. Compatible with both conical and wave paper filters. Porcelain that holds heat the way it should. It's been a fixture in competition bars and home setups for years.
The ReWork is different in one specific way: 20% of the porcelain is recycled - clay that was crushed during production and would otherwise be waste. Same shape. Same 20-rib structure. Same paper filter compatibility. The difference is in the material, and you can feel it. The unglazed, matte finish has a texture to it. It's not smooth in the way a glazed dripper is. It's better.
ORIGAMI designed the ReWork project to close the loop on their own production. Nothing preachy about it - just good thinking made into a good object.
Matches with two filter papers
The ORIGAMI dripper works with conical (cone) and wave paper filters - and they don't taste the same.
Wave filters distribute coffee in a thinner, more even layer. Water passes through faster, extraction is more uniform, the cup is consistent. Conical filters build a deeper bed, create more variation between the upper and lower layers, and give you more to work with - more control, more variance, more room to experiment.
Same dripper. Same coffee. Different result. That's the point.
Pairs well with
The ORIGAMI Glass Coffee Server with HARIO - designed to sit flush with the ReWork dripper without a holder. Heat-resistant glass, made in Japan, built for the same level of seriousness.
