Frequently Asked Questions

  • Orders are packed ‘next business day’ and typically arrive within 2–3 days (Ireland). Delivery times vary based on location, but we always move fast.

  • It’s all in the roast and the brew method.

    • Espresso roasts are bold and heavy with a more demanding roasting process. They are typically ground finer to provide those deeper taste notes one would find in an espresso  - perfect for machines or if you like more body.
    • Filter roasts are lighter, brewed slower, and bring out sweeter, subtler notes. Ideal for V60, Chemex, or drip brewers.

At Cloud Picker we omni-roast our coffee beans, which means whilst they are generally suited to Espresso or Filter as a taste preference, they can still be enjoyed both ways when ground correctly. .

  • For espresso:

    • Sam – smooth, balanced, crowd-pleaser
    • Henry – fruitier and a little brighter

For filter - Most of our single origins are perfect. Just check the tasting notes.

Looking for something darker? Formation is our boldest roast - our take on a more Italian-style cup, yet still fit for today’s coffee drinkers.

  • We omni-roast, so most coffees work across brew methods. But here’s a guide:

    • Filter (V60, Chemex, etc.): Go single origin
    • Espresso/Aeropress: Blends like Henry, Sam, Formation or a Single Origin from South America perhaps!
    • Home machines: Stick with espresso-leaning roasts - look for the brew scale on the box
  • If you have a grinder, always go wholebean, especially for espresso. We offer grind options for all major brew methods, but be sure to store ground coffee in a cool, dry place. Heat and humidity = clumping and stale coffee.
