Cloud Picker was founded in 2013 by Frank Kavanagh and Peter Sztal. From working backgrounds of Graphic Design & Corporate Banking respectively. Both with a shared love for quality, design, and doing things differently, they took the leap and opened their own roastery in Dublin. Dublin's first Micro Roastery we might add! From day one, we’ve sourced coffee with character - beans with a story, not just a score.

The name 'Cloud Picker' comes from our first visit to a coffee farm. The farm was on the top of a mountain on the Myanmar (formally Burma) / Thailand border. We travelled several hours by jeep up steep hills and bumpy roads. We remember It was a misty morning so as we travelled further up the mountain, we travelled up through the clouds and it was there we met the coffee pickers and so the name 'Cloud Picker' was born!

We believe specialty coffee is for everyone and not just a select few. We take the approach of teach and not preach. We roast by hand, to order, every week. Driven by curiosity and craft, we’re here to do things differently - no shortcuts. We roast in Crumlin on Stannaway Drive, and you’ll find our café at 42 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 and Dublin Airport.
