We're looking for a Full-time Barista to join our Pearse Street team!

Cloud Picker Coffee is a market-leading specialty coffee roasting company based in Dublin, Ireland, and we're seeking an experienced, customer-focused Barista to help us deliver a consistently excellent product and a genuinely inviting cafe experience.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our Pearse Street cafe - pulling great shots, curating seasonal drinks, and creating the kind of welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. You'll bring strong technical and sensory skills, a solid grasp of extraction and origin theory, and a natural warmth with customers.

Position: Barista (Full-time)
Location: Pearse Street, Dublin, Ireland
Reports to: Cafe Manager

Responsibilities:

Technical & Sensory Skills

> Apply strong extraction theory to bring the best out of every lot - dialling in on grind size, dose:yield ratio, and water temperature to hit quality standards consistently.

> Apply origin theory to understand and communicate flavour profiles, helping customers choose beans suited to their palate.

> Deliver excellent latte art and pour-over/filter brewing.

> Maintain and clean grinders and espresso machines regularly to keep cup quality high and off-flavours at bay.


Customer Service

> Welcome customers into a clean, well-presented cafe with a smile and genuine warmth.
> Turn ordering into a friendly, personal interaction rather than a transactional one.
> Handle any unhappy or disgruntled customers calmly and considerately.
> Look for small, thoughtful gestures that go the extra mile.


Housekeeping

> Keep tables, shelves, and floors clean throughout the day, especially during quieter periods.
> Leave the cafe spotless at close, with fridges cleaned and stocked, and cups/lids fully replenished for the morning team.
> Keep front-of-house windows and doors clean and shining.


Team & Professionalism

> Operate as a team player, taking instruction and feedback on board in good spirit.
> Show up on time, every time - punctuality reflects respect for the team and confidence in our shared goals.
> Stay vigilant of product expiry dates and check delivery dockets against what's actually delivered.
> Take initiative - including curating seasonal drinks and taking on additional responsibilities like stock ordering.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Required

> At least two years' experience working as a barista in a specialty coffee environment.
> Confidence in extraction theory, origin theory, and dialling in to specialty standards.
> Strong latte art and pour-over/filter brewing skills.
> Excellent customer service and communication skills.
> Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player.
> Attention to detail and vigilance around product quality and expiry.


Desirable

> Interest in developing new seasonal drinks and menu innovation.
> Experience taking on additional responsibilities (stock, ordering, etc.).
