This coffee is from a private producer in the Kebele (small town) called Werka in the region of Guji and is made up from cherry deliveries from smallholder farmers in the West Arsi area. It’s a Grade 1, meaning the producers have put a lot of effort into the selection and grading during processing.
When we cupped this coffee it was more grapefruit and peach like but then we brewed it through V60 and it was round, with pear, intense mandarin, delicate and balanced. The pear and mandarin fruit really stood out in this coffee.
