The Montero family have been growing coffee in Tarrazu for three generations. Don Eli's son, Carlos Montero, now runs the farm and started producing speciality coffee lots in 2014. Since then he and his family have been paying close attention to picking and sorting, and experimenting with different methods of growing and processing, to produce some outstanding lots.
This lot is mechanically demucilaged and partially washed under water pressure, then dried in greenhouses on African beds. It produces a beautifully sweet and fragrant coffee, incredibly clean, and excellent as filter or espresso.
