We're super excited about this version of Colours! Why? It's our first time having a coffee from Uganda! A country not (yet) well known for great Arabica, but with the potential to rival neighbouring Kenya and Rwanda. But what's more is the gender empowerment... see below!

BACKGROUND

The Mahango Thuyihimbe washing station is located at 1,800masl in the Rwenzori Mountains. The washing station serves 346 farmers, growing the locally prized variety Nyasaland as well as the better-known SL-28 and SL-14. Mahango has taken great strides towards gender empowerment, and this is reflected in the workforce at the station which is 93% women.

This coffee stood out on the coffee table with it's blackcurrant and floral aromas reminding us of a classic Kenyan, but with brown sugar sweetness and depth, and a more restrained acidity, making it work beautifully as espresso and in milk drinks too. We just love this coffee and delighted to be able to bring it to you!

Enjoy Folks!
